Cafe - Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:30 pm - Dinner/Drink/Dessert - $7 for ages 13 and older; $2 for ages 2 to 12 1
Family Night - Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:00 pm - all ages will enjoy Bible-based studies/activities
Movie Night - 4th Sundays at 6:00 pm
The first services of our church were held in various homes in 1924. After renting several locations, a church was built on the corner of S Pittsburgh St and Woodlawn Ave in South Connellsville.
In 1961 the congregation purchased the Frisbee Farm for the church’s new location. On August 25, 1968, the worship service was begun at the Woodlawn Avenue church, and then by caravan, the congregation went to our current location where they held their first service here.
In 2000 we broke ground for our Family Life Center, which was completed in 2001 and houses offices, classrooms, and a full size gym.
Our Men of Faith group provides camaraderie and fellowship. This ministry has been successful in establishing a safe and confidential environment where men can share/discuss sensitive matters with fellow believers. Men have discovered that they are not alone in the many battles they face as followers of Christ -- as husbands, fathers, providers, and the ultimate challenge as the leader of their household.
We strive through Men of Faith to reach un-churched men and to have an impact on our community for Christ. Bringing a friend, neighbor or coworker with you to Men of Faith could be the start of a new life for that person! We encourage all men to invite friends to our meetings.
We meet 1st Saturday monthly (Sep thru May) at 8:00 am for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall.
Christian Women Connection … A Place for Every Woman Where Every Woman Takes Her Place
Our Mission - Serve Christ through serving women and equipping them for ministry.
Our Purpose - To provide women’s ministry resources to the Church of God for connecting women through...relationships, spiritual formation and service.
CWC offers:
- Sewing Group - sewing projects for designated mission projects. You don’t have to sew to participate; there are other tasks involved.
- Short term Bible studies - often held for six week periods during Family Nights.
- C.I.A. [Courage in Action] - ladies who are widowed meet the 2nd Friday monthly from 11:30 am to 1 pm in the fellowship hall, unless an outing is planned.
